3rd Generation New door weatherstripping?

Hi, I'm a new member. I have a 93 Camry LE with the 5SFE and auto trans, with around 225,000 miles on it. There's lots of little issues with the car, but the most annoying one is the seals on the doors, primarily the front driver-side.

I've been trying to find some new weatherstripping for the car online (preferably I'd like to just get a kit that would let me redo all four doors), but all I am able to find for the gen 3 cars is the chrome weatherstrip that goes around the windshield.

Do I have to go to a dealer to get replacement weatherstripping? Or is there a generic type/pattern that I can buy and cut to fit?

Also, how much work is involved in replacing the weatherstripping? Do I just pull out the old and push in the new, or do I have to deal with glue/sealants?

Thanks for any help!

I'm not sure about the doors, as I've never done that. But I replaced my trunk weatehr stripping. It was $55 I think, from the dealer, and I just pulled the old one off, and just placed the new one on, was only a 10 minute job. You MAY be able to go to a local junkyard and pull ones that are good from a junkyard car.

Pretty much just pull the old one out and install the new one.

There is weatherstrip adhesive though.

If the old one is glued in, I would use the adhesive to glue the new one in. Otherwise don't worry about the adhesive.

Cool. Thanks for the info.

I'll ask at the dealer next time I'm up there to see if they sell the new seals.
