Valve Cover Gasket

Hi i was planning on DIY with the valve cover gasket. all i have to just buy the gasket and replace it righT? i need an answer asap. ty.

what do you plan on doing? you could get ANOTHER one, work on it, and switch it out with your old one. whats up?

I agree, this is the way to do it. It allows you to drive your car, and take your time to do it right.

I dont understand the question here? Are you just asking about replacing the valve cover gasket?

When replaceing the valve cover, there is 8 spots where you must use high temp sealant. They are on the head flange on both sides of each cam.

I4 is a real simple fast job, V6 is a pain to get at the rear one, takes a few hours, not a bad job at all
