4th Generation Velox style headlights

It took me an hour to find the thread (http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t52165.html)

But I finally found it again.

Since I retrofitted and sanded my headlights to use projectors and things have been bright. My minor mistake was to sand down and clear the lens using my old headlights. It's not as clear as I'd like. I recently resanded them, but it's still not as clear as I'd like it to be.

I wanted to find a shop around here (bodyshop and plastic fabricating shops) that would sand down the textured lens of a gen 4 headlight (like what ptycamry did) but no one wanted to do it or it was too $$$.

So that's why I searched for the thread where Velox swapped a Gen 4 lens for a Gen 4.5 lens to make it clear.

Has anyone else done this? I've pm'd velox, but I want to see if anyone else has done it? Is it a good enough alternative to try it?

It will not fit correctly I've done this. It will budge out. You have a better luck doing the 4.5 conversion and much cleaner.

If I had the cash I'd do that in a heartbeat, but as with many, that's an issue. Did you remove the lens by heating it up and directly place it onto the lens? Or did you cut the lens out (like how velox did in that thread)?

Also, won't the radiator be in the way for the Gen 4.5 lights to fit?
