Rear Deck Lip Spoiler vs Rear Window Diffuser

I am adding a touch of customization to a 4th gen Cam I am building for a client.
Which would you go for on a Gen 4 Cam a Rear Deck Lip Spoiler or a Rear Window Diffuser?

And yes both have some functionality to them, besides for looks.

Since most people might not know what it the second is here is a pic on a M3

Edit: added a new pic

umm, this may sound stupid, but does that tiny little spoiler actually give a little bit of downforce? or what is the 'function' of it?

i say go with both

Looks I would think....seems you would have to be going 150 mph to get any use out of it.

It all depends on what the client wants, but personally, I would like to keep the clean lines of the gen4 and go with just the rear lip spoiler.

I have full control over what the car is to look like, only requested was to make it more performance orienated (sp?) and stylish..... what I do to it is all up to me

Majority of the parts will be one off that we will be making, including our new pullys and flywheels, new EM and a few other surprises to be released later

Advice

I would just keep it clean with a TRD wing. Part of keeping a car clean is adding as few things as possible and removing as much as possible. Jon.

It creates more of a cleaner air flow, meaning that there is less turblence coming off the roof line and when it hits the window shield, creating less restistence which means alittle bit more mpgand small performance gain (small). Also you do not have to go 150 in order to get any use out of it. Just normal driving on the highway as well as anytime you have stretches of road where you can go a min of 40mph.

What does the TRD wing look like? It has been forever since I have seen any TRD stuff for the Gen 4.

Depends on what part of the world your from, I have heard it called many things, including a "rear vortex enhancer".

the term roof spooilers is generally used for vehicles like hatchbacks, coupes, SUV and vans,

TRD wing is a surface mounted lip kinda like a M3 lip

Window spoiler...What color is the car because on a dark colored car it may be a subtle change and would look good. imo. But on a light colored car it would contrast and be noticable against the glass on the rear window (with tint of coarse). I like the rear window spoiler...unique for a camry

The car will be two-toned Silver and Maroon, with black accents on the outside.

Thanks for all the help guys, I ended up doing a front lip spoiler, rear deck lip spoiler as well as a rear window disdusser.

The car should be completely ready by the end of june when it will be featured on SC.com as well as several other magazines.
