Haven't been on the forum in awhile, got reverse indiglo gauges installed a while back. When they are on there is an annoying buzzing sound that comes from them. The loudness of the buzz changes with how intense you have them, so if turned all the way up, very loud, down not so loud. I know this shouldn't happening, any ideas why ??
Hey Luc, how have you been ? Good to hear from you. That sucks about the transformer, is the green a little less then ? Is there any thing we can do about it, or we just have to play our music loud enough to drown it out ?
My friend in Cali has the reverse indiglos on his prelude and has no buzzing sound, is it just because of the ones we have the transformer is just bad ?
When I had rev. indiglos in my Gen2, I tapped the positive wire into the dimmer for the interior lights, adjusted the one on the transformer to a decent level, then hid the whole unit up in the dash. Couldn't notice the buzzing once it was tucked away.
That just sucks then if it's the transformer because it started the buzzing the minute I had it put in. And I'd say that was only 1 1/2 ago. SO that means when I opened it new, it just had a bad transformer, and I am just going to have to deal with the buzz....
Actually, it's suppose to buzz...the analog ones (with a dial) buzz a lot more than the digital ones...mine's been buzzing for over 2 years now and they work fine!
We used to have conversations about this on CamryMan years ago...it's very commmon.
Hey Dave, all is good here, especially these past 2 days, in the 50's!!! Anyway, I've opened up that box just to see if I can replace the transformer, but it's all epoxyed up inside and would take a while to remove all that stuff up. As of now, I've taken it out of the car completely, and haven't done much with it. Yes, the green illumination has less buzzing, but still noticeable.
Yeah I know I have been loving the weather. Glad to hear things are good with you. I kinda played around with my gauages last night too, I notice that twisting it around and moving it kinda made the buzzing come and go. I might play with it more this weekend
Hey was still going to maybe do the cat-back this spring, didn't know if you might want to help me install it when I get it. Still looking at Apex'i World Sport, Greddy Evo, or I have heard even Tanabe makes a Hyper Medallion for the Solara, but not sure on that. Talk to you Soon !

I have a BUZZZZZZZZZZZ problem with my streetglow neons, sounds similar to what you guys are talking about... its coming out of my front tweeters and it SUCKS and I never want to turn on my neons
I had a setup with my laptop where I would plug it into both the cigarette lighter for power, and into the stereo to have 900 mp3's at my fingertips in the car, but it made an awful buzzing sound through the speakers, and my battery life sucks, so I can't do that anymore...

You shouldn't be having it with the neon accent lights. I have no trouble with mine, but i do get buzzing out of the pedals.
A couple things to try, sometimes buzzing is related to a bad ground. Also you can insulate a transformer or tuck it away. I am going to try and insulate my transformer for my pedals. Also i noticed that it gets louder when i rev my engine
