Hell no it ain't easy to pull the filter out. It's a bitch! Damn bottom bolt will get you if you don't have the right tools. By the time I was done, I'm sure my legs probably grew and inch and my back was completely worn because I had to hunch over to get that bastard bolt.
It's replaced though.. with a Bosch filter.. 11.95, new, with shipping

Mileage is AWESOME now. Dunno if it's the filter but the old one was a Toyota OEM with the paint peeling off

I did the full tune up though with distrib. cap, rotor arm, spark wires, plugs (Denso Iridiums), fuel fitler, air fliter cleaning (got a rice cone filter), and a new valve cover seal with spark plug tube seals with a nice valve cover spraying

Aluminium. makes the block look like new. Sprayed my strut bar and short ram
