I'm not an expert, but does your car attempt to turn over when you try to start it? If not check the wiring from the terminal on with a volt meter. They might have fried the wiring in the process, and your starter isn't getting enough juice for a start. Just a thought.

What are you saying that they broke it but they will not fix it? If so you didn't flex your muscles enough.... Regardless of the wedding, The Shop that broke it should fix it, period. Grow some balls man!

WTF?!? If these clowns can't install a battery without screwing it up, I wouldn't let them touch the car again. The list of things that they may have fried is too long to list here. Make them pay to have it towed to and repaired at a dealer. Make them supply a rental, until the car is fixed.

I agree with karazy. you should charge them to have the dealer fix the damage, on top of making any of the work they did free. I doubt they'd spring for a rental, but you can always get the dealer to give you a loaner. Chances are it's gonna take a few days if not a week to fix that damage. Besides, they may have scewed up putting in a battery, but I work with a guy who forgot to replace the tranny fluid and oil in two seperate forklifts after draining the old fluids. As soon as he turned each one on it went *sputter sputter boom*.
Just remember it could always be worse.
