LOL. Are you listening to what UFOz is saying?? You want to swap in a motor with 200hp with SOO much fabrication to make it work....for what? You "want to see how it will perform in a Camry"...Its not going to be any different than in a bluebird!! Probobly shitter, since the Camry is heavier!!!!!
I beleive it is with posts like these, that the idea is only born because that object in question is "famous". Not as bad, but similar to saying "i want a 2jz in my Camry" etc etc. I know the SR comes FWD, so its obviously a bit easier, but, because the SR is such a widely used engine in drift/race/tuner applications, people latch on to the idea and apply it to whatever they have without thinking.
Try these examples of an engine conversion, sticking with TOYOTA, and getting just as good, if not better power.
If you want a "stock" motor that just pulls good power (like your SR20), then try these:
3VZ- 186HP
1MZ- 207HP
5VZ- 187HP (monster torque)
*Note that, these above engines have 10 or so less HP than your "SR" motor, but the torque output available FAR surparses that of your SR engine, which for street driving, is going to give you the best results, unless of course, your the type that loves to see redline at every corner haha
And if you want motors that can be "modified" with good aftermarket support, you cant go past:
3SGE- Beams, NA..200HP
3SGTE- 256HP (Caldina GT-T model)
