Question about tires for 18's

I have 18's on my car now and I am riding on 225/40/18's I have had them on for one week now and hit a nasty pot hole it bent the rim a little bit. I was wondering can I go with 225/45/18's with a drop? I have a 1.75" drop from my Intrax springs. Let me know what you guys think.

Bent Rim

Sorry to hear about ur new rims. Is the steering shaking now? Is the bend noticable by eye (got pics) or just when moving?

What is the clearance now at ur wheel well?

I am putting on 17" wheels myself and would die if I bent my wheels...... repairable I trust.

yea man the steering is shaking alot now when I go like 50 mph and up also the car is pulling to the right. I am gonna try to get it fixed tomm and get the car aligned and all. I never had a problem with my 17's they were great with 225/45/17!

Good luck w/ the fix and hope it is not costly. Is it a chromed wheel?

If the fix doesn't go as well, will putting it in the rear make it less noticeable.

Did you notice a ride difference w/ your 18" vs 17"?

I am looking at getting 5 rims in 17" in case I damage one.

Let us know how it goes.

If your original size was 205/65/15 your can go with either 215/45/18 or 235/40/18. These sizes will keep the overall diameter almost the same with the original.
