4th Generation TRD JAPAN BUMPER: decision time

okay guys i found a mfgr. that i like, and trust at that to do the bumper for us..

its frp (fiberglass reinforced plastic) so its lighter than a normal aftermarket bumper...
here is the dilema..

1. im looking at around 450-500 w/o shipping for the bumper each..
there is a limited run of 15 that we came up with (to recover their costs & mine)

2. my original will be more than likely damaged beyond use with their process..
that is what has me worried..
i wanna see the TRUE INTEREST (THOSE WHO WOULD THROW DOWN MONEY WHEN ASKED)
right now.. this is only to get a feel if i should go thru with this..

the bumper fitment will be perfect for the gen4. i have been garunteed that, however 4.5 will have a gap where the fender meets the bumper ( not gon modify the original to maintain the best fitment).

so lets see who is really REALLY REALLY INTERESTED... if your thinking maybe, if the price is right or whatever you need not apply... this is about as close as you gon get to the original at about 1/4th the price.. (1300 plus 500 in shipping fees)

i did my end (way more than i should have) now how bout u???

I know its' probably dependent on the # of people you get and by when, but I second some type of time-frame. Sometime this summer? Fall? Winter? Etc... I would be interested if it occurred later this year, but I cannot allocate the cash atm... Sorry if I wasted a post on your thread...

if you dont know what this bumper is its a genuine trd japan front bumper for the 97-99 camry.. this is the front ONLY.. i would do a whole kit but r&d is too much and waste of my time since we all have different tastes..

its all in U.S. Currency.. im located in the bay area, california...

shipping will vary, but my worse estimates are for you east coast guys at around 80 per and canada about 20-30 more.. i will do it thru work with either ups OR a frieght company that we work with... if there are several that would like to have bumpers shipped together, shipping is dropped dramatically.. praly round 100 total for 2 or more bumpers (yes its realistic shipping not that overpriced crap)

turn around time from the day i drop it off (june 19th) will be 3 weeks.. YEP U READ IT!!! 3 weeks for 15 bumpers.. 10 will be up for grabs.. at the set price of 500 each (this is to repay my cost for the damn bumper & all the uselessness of the original after the process... that means they will be ready by mid july...

the other 5 will go to the highest bidder..

right now im only seeing if we even could get 10 people that are SERIOUS
i can front most of the costs since im working with the shop (who is a good friend) up here in norcal.. my problem is like i stated.. IS IT WORTH MY TIME TO DO THIS!!!! in other words.. is there REAL demand here.. if i cant even pull 5, then i guess yall are gon have to go back to the search.. and from what i hear brand new this is 1200-1300 plus all your shipping fee's (around 500) plus the fact that they have been discontinued makes it even harder.

if only that fender issue isn't present with the 00-01 models you know i'd be down for this. i'll try to ask around to see if other Camry owners want one.
