First off, what the hell is an annevarsary edition camry?
Now, where to begin, well, first off, why the hell are you slaming on the gas at stop lights or in parking lots, you immature ricer. I dunno if the lag is normal, because I have only slammed on my gas about 3 times in the whole time i have owned my camry, but it doesn't seem unusual either.
Oh, my bad, I didn't see that you had an auto. Then yes, of course theres gonna be a short lag.

I can find NO information regarding a 25th Anniversary Edition, 1990? What happened in 1965 thats so special??
Anyhoo, check/change your ignition leads, dist. cap, rotor button and plugs. This is what rectified the same problem when i first got my car. (2.5L V6).
And yes, more info on the "special" Camry please?

I took some pictures of the 25th anniversary camry with my cell and posted them on imageshack here.. http://img520.imageshack.us/slidesho...092617azs.smil
Looks like a regular camry just with power everything and an all-trac drivetrain.
I dunno what else I can say about the car.. I just picked it up 3 weeks ago.. for $1500.
270kms.. fired it up at the used dealer and i didn't hear anything weird under the hood so I drove it off that day.
As for it being special.. its got 25th anniversary emblems.. that pretty much it.
Phantom: why not slam on the gas? grandpa! I think you need to lose the babyseat.
Jetspeed: About the hesitation problem i'll take a look at all my electrical stuff this weekend I hope its that easy so I can get back to slamming on the gas every chance I get.
Ken4: I was using 88 octane which is the lowest they sell at the gas station.. gas prices are a mutha, so Im forced to use 88.
Thanks. This was the first car I saw on my used car venture and I almost didn't buy it. I was leaning more to the 92 camry with the newer body style which costed 3k more but I wanted the V6. I didn't know it was an All-Trac until i saw the owners manual in the glove. Then when i saw the manual i was the WOW!>> Now im happy I did chose the V6 over the gen3 4 banger.
My memory is getting fuzzy, but I had an '85 Camry w/ the I-4 that had a similar problem. I busted my ass trying to fix the problem before I found the solution.
YMMV, but my old car had a small pick-up coil inside the distributor that sat on the vacuum advance plate (forgive the terminology - it is probably not correct as my memory of the problem is fuzzy). One of the small wires leading to the pick-up coil had a break inside the insulation. Every time the vacuum advance plate moved (i.e., every time I hit the gas from a stop), the wire flexed and I would get a momentary open circuit, thus cutting the ignition to the engine for a split second. Then, the wire strands would come back together and the engine would kick back in.
I won't tell you how many other things I replaced/"fixed" before I found my problem. As I recall, the part was not cheap!

i believe the gye asked for help, not to be flamed because he actually has some fun in his Camry instead of driving it like a grandma. I slam on my 05 all the time....that doesn't make me an immature ricer.
