3rd Generation Questions about new bumper, lip

Alright, first of all, what happened to shook? does he still have his camry? I tried pming him but no luck yet... he is my inspiration for the next pahse of my camry... but anyway...

what do you guys that have bought new front bumper covers suggest I do? The non oem ones on ebay run about 80 shipped but I hear they have fitment issues. I was quoted at my dealer today $300 for a primed ready to paint oem 95-96 bumper. Im wondering if this would be a better choice since I wont have to pay for priming or fitment issues with this... any advice? I know eye8 has two bumpers and offered a lot of insight on the matter when i searched; what did you do man?

anyway, my idea is to go with the 95-96 bumper and modify it to fit my 94, have it painted white, then have the 95 96 rmm lip painted black and mounted. do you think they would paint the lip black first and then install it on the oem bumper? Ive also read it is best to have it riveted on, do they just bondo over the rivets so they dont show up after?

basically anyone with a rmm lip can chime in on the experience... cost for paint, intall, issues with either of those... ive done my reading and my homework- i know the differences, what is involved etc, just trying to get any advice or opinions you have on the black/white look.

Most of all I need an oem bumper to work from first... advice on what to do about that is apreciated

Sorry to say, Shook no longer owns the beast. He sold it a couple months back and I think he's working on a different project lately. I tried pming him, but I don't think he's on much anymore.

As far as the front lip is concerned, I haven't been able to find a "real" rmm front lip anywhere. So I can't give you any of the experiences there. But as far as the rest of the possible body parts you could put on, don't buy anything on e-bay that's not oem. Just about everything on ebay has fitment and quality issues.(and that's if you get your stuff) I'm in the process of getting a stock gen 3 front bumper cover, and modifying it to look like blue meanie's design.
