Gen5 Interchangability of headlights?

My gf's mom has a 2003 (I think) camry and her grandma has a 2005/6. The headlights are different and me and my gf were looking at them side to side at a family gathering and trying to figure out if it's possible to do a straight swap? It looks like it may be possible but we seem to think that the newer one has a smaller headlight. I just wanted to get the opinion of the board before I thought about attempting a change-over. TIA.

For some reason as i was reading your post i pictured you two staring at the cars side by side looking at it like some sort of math problem. Anywys, it would fit, but like Camralon said you would need to rewire it. Anywys, why would you do that? Whats the point? Trying to make your girlsfriend's mom's car look newer than her grandma?

I dont mean to come across as hostile but this same topic come up literally TWO or THREE times EVERY week. Thats why we as members of TN are advised to make use of the SEARCH FUNCTION so as not to create redundant threads. Good Luck.

Actually, that's exactly how it happened lol. The cars were parked right behind each other and we stood there looking at it trying to see what noticable differences there were. We were just wondering because my gf likes the newer headlights better. Thanks anyways, sorry about not searching.

Again, I wasnt trying to be rude so I hope I didnt come across that way. But you'd be amazed how much extra info you can find by doing a search first. I wanted to know the same thing about my 2002 Camry because I was seriously considering trying to do the conversion but I opted not to since I was seriously considering getting an 07 Camry which I have now.
