Does anyone know why Toyota doesn't offer a 2007 XLE with a 4 cyl in Canada?

I personally have not inquired about the 4 cylinder xle, but I would suspect the usual reasons. Car manufactures of course want to cater to the mass market and want to be as profitable as possible. I guess they figure there will be a low demand for the XLE in 4 cylinder in Canada. Canada has a very small population relative to other countries in the world. We don't get a lot of model of cars, never mind trim level. It's all a matter of demand.

It's too bad as I like the XLE features but really don't need the V6 power.

Canadian dealers are seeing a 10 to 1 demand for the 4 cylinder SE over the 6 cylinder SE which is no surprise with Canadian gas at 4.00 per US gallon. I suspect the XLE would be the same if the 4 cylinder was offered. When and if Americans get hit with $4.00 a gallon regular gas then you'll see a big demand for smaller motors.

If i remember correctly, two thirds of Camry's are 4 cylinders and one third V6's. I guess they figure if someone goes for the xle they can afford or would want the bigger engine.
