4th Generation Parking Light Voltage???

Does anyone know how much voltage the parking lights run on? Not the headlights, just parking lights. Thanks

all lights run on 12 V... you'd be hard pressed to find anything that isn't 12 V

Maybe you are refering to the current? AMPs?

I bought a set of fog lights... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33709 Here's the link, but there was one wire that was supposed to be wired into the parking lights and I wired it to my fuse box instead. Then they didn't work, I checked the switch and the etch on the back was lifted and broken. So I drew too much maybe not voltage, current right? I need to find out the current/amps and so what the reading is on what I have it connected to. That's my issue. Any help?

Parking light wire is used to trigger a relay. There should be a relay included with the fog lights.

As for current draw, their rated 55W @ 12V. So its around 4.6 amps for each light or around 9.2 amps total.

The relay is fine, I know it works. Tested it on a different source outside of the car. Where should I connect the one wire that the directions told me to connect to the parking lights? I tied it in with a fuse but I think it drew too much and thts why my switch blew. Thanks for the help

Sure you didn't blow a fuse? Voltage is a push and amps are a draw (Visualize a garden hose the pressure would be voltage and the volume of water would be the amps). Hard to burn out a switch if it was the proper one for the system.

To the parking light wire.

Brown plug that plugs into the back of the gauge cluster. Green wire.

Tapping into a fuse = ghetto rigging.

I doubt the switch blew. You most likely have a blown fuse.
