Hey guys, my friend has a 98 Camry CE, and leaves bits of food all over. Well, today we noticed a hole through the rear seat and when we folded them down, there were clear tunnels that had been made through the back seats. In addition to this, there was a nest made of fibers where the car jack was and there were droppings around the trunk. Any ideas on how a mouse got in there? I think he keeps the windows and stuff closed whenever he's not in the car and he keeps the car in a garage, so I have no idea how a mouse got in there. Also if anyone has any ideas on how to get it out, that would be appreciated! So far we have yet to find the mouse...
Well, for starters he could clean out the old food.
How about a sign in the rear window that says, "No Cheese"?
A mouse trap might work, but would kind of suck to go off while driving. Just knowing I was driving around with a dead or dying mouse in my car would give me the willies.
we had this problem once too in our 91. we used to leave the candy (for the kids at easter/christmas/etc.) wrapped up in plastic in the trunk and we'd come back to find holes in the bag and wrappers everywhere.
get a vaccum, start cleanin up the crap and wat not, then find the mouse and just suck him into the vacume, no mess, no fuss. or put yur cat in the car, let nature take its course
When I looked at my stock air filter, I noticed that a mouse had crawled up in the intake and had eaten away about 10% of the filter. I was going to replace it with a K&N, anyways, but that's just another way they can get into your car...
I got one better. A couple of years ago my wife (girlfriend then) took the camry in for a check up because it was stallin. Well come to find there was a dead squirrel that a made a nest in one of the header valves. That wasn't the problem though, but it was nuts (sorry bad punn). The mechanic said it wasn't an uncommon thing especially if you park outside near woods. As for the mouse, go with vacuum, and try folding down the rear seats and open the trunk and all the doors. It might get scared and bolt while your vacuuming. Good luck

Then wipe all the mouse blood off of your interior. :p
I had a mouse around the engine bay. I seen his hairs every where and paw footprints.
ne ways. better find that rat soon cause if he does die somewhere in ur car due to starvation or something, he might die in a place that you can't have access too, unless u ripp up the floor board or take the entire back seat out. Better find it
lol those are some really funny stories, but yea sux to have a mouse trapped in your car....
anyways maybe the mouse got thru by going thru the muffler tip....lol !!!!!!
just hope that when the mouse is in the pipes, fire up the car and drive the hell outta ur car , let it rip!!!
ROAR !!
guys- come on- i find this board offensive- the rodent is the man's best friend despite all of these silly claims about dogs and shia... if i was near you i would search your car all over to find the mouse- then i would take him/her out to lunch and find a babysitter for the kids. THen i would bring the kids to the movies the following weekend- and left them free into a field not infested with snakes, but more of a getaway for mice that have lost their place in society..... ahhh yes that is what i would do
ps i am not offended by this thread- i just hink it is funny to say that
ppss- has anybody every your ps on TN before???
pppsss- how about ppss???
ppppssss- how about pppsss????
