3rd Generation Automatic shift knobs and acceleration pad sticking???

Are there automatic shift knobs for a Camry LE (92)? How do you change them out?
And the last question is why in the blue hell is my acceleration pad sticking???? I keep have to put it in neutral and put an light press to it to get working normal again!!! I tried some WD-40 but it didn't last long!

My wife's 93 SE never thrilled us with its vinyl blob of a shifter. I bought a stock ES300 shift knob, real leather wrap and such. The nice thing is it retains a very clean, OEM, looks like it belongs there kind of look. It took a bit of rework-- the metal tube upon which the shifter mounts is shorter in the ES than the Camry, by just a little bit. And there is a white tapered piece that mounts atop the shift release pin that had to be tweaked a bit. It looks pretty sweet now-- more like the XLE from later years in the Gen3 range.

Otherwise, you have a lot of aftermarket options-- I'm not sure how exact any of them will fit, since (I think) they're pretty universal.

I assume you've looked at the pedal and everything underneath to make sure you don't have an old banana wedged under there, right? What are you WD-40'ing? deekay140 suggested cleaning the throttle body-- I'd also take a look at the throttle cable itself, under the hood, to make sure it isn't gummed up.

RodMillenFan had described other alternatives that look great and work with no regret. what do you want to know about the shift "knob"? and for reference, its a gear selector, not a knob. you can buy a shift "handle" or an aftermarket replacement from the internet.

3rd Generation

Do you know any place that still sells that levoc shiftknob brungold. That pilot knob is a knockoff of another levoc shifter I saw online. I'm just looking for the one brungold has.
