I havent been here in some time... I like these new forums! (I went away for a bit after getting fed up with those "Invalid_session" messages) Spring can't come soon enough here- we got lucky today though because a rather strong snowstorm just missed us. Anyway, being that I've already got so much time and money invested into the Camry (and the accident), I've decided to keep it at least another year. Having said that, I plan to have some fun with it. Here's what I'm going to do:
-Paint trim around radio, black strip that runs across dash, trim around panel dimmer switch, trim around A/C vents (but not the vents themselves), door handle bezels (handles themselves will be silver) and cruise control switch blue
- Definitely going to take another shot at polishing the cam cover (tried it once already but it didnt go so well, aluminum is a serious pain in the ass to shine up!)
- TRD emblems for the fenders
- Summit 3 3/8" tach (40 bucks and it has its own shift light!)
- 15" gen 2 v6 rims and tires are a go (hey they were free... too bad it's not a more open-spoke design or else I would have painted the calipers and drums ricer red!)
- Saw 3 1/2" off the shifter (I know this wont do much for shift quality but itll def. look better!), get custom leather knob and boot
- I'm going to leave the hood and header panel (pulled off another Cam when I got in my accident a month and a half ago) black- with the silver body it's really a nice look! I have a couple pics of the car at imagestation.com, my name over there is 87camry5speed... if you want the password to see it PM me)
- Front brakes have to be redone
I know its damn near impossible to get a Gen 2 to run fast (cheaply), so I'll concentrate on making it look good

Needless to say, I look forward to hookin' the car up now. Let me know what y'all think... if you have any suggestions I wanna hear 'em!
