imagination prevails

today i put some honda civic coilovers on my camry and got about another inch drop on my ride height. it took about 3 and a half hours due to the cutting but it work and the ride is great. i put the coilovers just on the front because my back end is fine. just wanted to say that anything can be done with a little creativity!!!

ill take some pictures tomorrow for everybody to see. if i cut the bumpstop out, i will be able to tuck down to the rim. the spring sits right in between the little space on the spring cup. no squeaking, moving, or popping when i took it out for the test drive. so far so good. ill find out when i take it to work and drive it on the hiway. ill let you know when pics arrive. late

i promise to take pics. it is a noticeable difference before and after, at least for me. i just had some coilovers laying around and said to myself: what the hell!!! and it worked. i also had one of my center caps stolen friday night. fu**ing haters!! it will be a sad day for the parents of the culprit. now im out 40 bucks.

You have -GOT- to be kidding me

I'm sorry to say it, but I'll be the first. Can we say GHETTO? :p But we'll have to see the pics to judge. But the tentative status of things is "ghetto," and far from innovative.

I wouldn't neccessarily call it ghetto. I lot of autocrossers use coilover sleeve kits with positive results. If the spring rate is wrong and you are using it with stock shocks, then it would be ghetto.

that was me. it sucked.

the spring rates were ridiculously high, car bounced all the way down the road. it was embarassing

the only reason i bought them was because the shop i got em from told me they were "universal" for the weight of my car. that guy got an earful the day after the installation...

good memory huh?

i don't think that Civic coilovers would be any better than your old Accord ones.

"yo! you got hydraulics on your Camry?"
"nah man... civic springs."
