3rd Generation What common sensors to replace?

I know there are some sensors out there that go bad every once in a while on a car. All I can think of is the O2 sensor, but I am betting there are a few more. I have a bone stock 5sfe in pretty good condition (not leaking oil or smoking or making noises). My only complaint is that the gas mileage is a little low in the city for me (about 18mpg) but I also take it up to 3.5-4k every time I accelerate and have not done fuel filter and spark plugs for 90k miles.
But as far as sensors go, what are the common ones to check and replace?

You can try cleaning the MAF sensor if the car has one - but be very careful.

Possibly water temperature sensors as well...

My '92 gen 3 I4 now has 240K miles with no sensor changes. But I have noticed the MPG has dropped quite a bit lately. Still runs OK tho.

Camrymatic perhaps you answered your own question; change your fuel filter and plugs, they are way overdue.
Also try cleaning your tbi and butterfly, theyre probably filthy by now. Plenty of posts on this some by me.
