MR2 Transmission conversion (E153)

I'm getting ready for a AT->MT swap on a new 3rd gen camry that I am getting soon (I got back my 3rd gen camry 5spds that I gave to Ben-RR two years ago to use it as a donor car for the pedal assembly, shifter assembly, trd coil springs, whiteline swaybar, etc..) I'm getting addicted to lapping and I want a track car

I got myself a E153 transmission from a '91 Mr2 Turbo (E153 - Same thing as the transmission in my Solara)

I think the transmission levers will be misplaced (Mid engine configuration --> Front engine config.).. can I take the levers on a '92..'93 E53 5 speeds transmission ? I was told that they are the same thing except the E153 is smoother to shift (synchros)

What will be required to convert the levers from the MR2 transmission to fit it on a Camry ? I have an E53 transmission to get the parts that I will require.

If you are talking about the shift levers from a '92-94 V6 5-speed Camry, it may work... if you are talking about the 4-cylinder 5-speed tranny, you are out of luck because they are very different...

You can probably also pick up a busted Celica all-trac transmission to get all the parts to convert it to front wheel drive.... (I started with an all-trac tranny and used MR2 parts to convert it to FWD (remove transfer case, put in MR2 diff), so you can do it either way)

My old camry is a '92 V6 5 speeds with the E53 in it !
But it have a lot of problems with the synchros

In the worst case maybe I can just switch the transmissions internals
