Getting turboed in California

I'm putting a turbo in my 96 LE (5sfe). I only know of one other person in California who has a turbo 5sfe Camry. I was wondering if my car will pass the California smog check or will I have to find a "hook-up" to pass smog?

No, you will not pass smog. You will fail visual, and the test itself. You will need to get a hookup for smog. Pay a little extra each time, but you pass and get your stickers.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.
