The windshield window fogs up too easily in the evening.
The windshield window fogs up too easily in the evening. It's kind of cold at night in my area. Sometimes blowing hot air completely fogs it up, and blowing cold air helps. Am I supposed to blow hot air or cold air when outside is cold?
It's so cold outside, so everytimes it fogs up, I blow (hot air with AC on) to the windshield and it completely fogs it up. So I have to blow (cold air with AC on), and it clears it. But I was freezed to death, so a minute later, I blow hot air, and it seems fine, it doesn't fog it up this time.
LoL, where the hell do you live? I'm from MN and this is the coldest state in the continental US and we're hitting 90 today.
I'm not sure whether or not it is normal, but if it fixes the problem, I think it should be ok. But I do feel you, sometimes it's super cold and if you blow anything but hot air, your windows will fox up completely.
yes to defog you want to use cold air first to get all the moisture out of your vent system and car. the a/c will continue to stay on to drain all the water particles in the air to the outside of the car keeping the windshield dry. After the windshield is defoggged you may move to a different setting on the temperature meter. Somehow i dont think running it on HOT and having the A/C going at the same time is good. I never go past the center where the cold meets hot when i have the a/c on for the defrost.
Does anyone know if it is bad to turn up the heat with the a/c on?
