Potential Camry owner question.

In what ways would you say the Camry is better than the Accord. Thanks for any informative answers.

Can you be a bit more specific, what year? trim? etc...

Only reason why i would pick an accord over a camry is that they offer (or at least they used to) a 6 spd v6 in the coupe version.

Even tho I am a former 2003 Honda Accord owner, I had an I4 back then and now I have a V6. But I do know a lot of people who have V6's so I'll try to compare the two the best I can with my own knowledge.
Camry > Accord
More power/ more torque
Gas mileage
Auto + Tiptronic six-speed
SE tighter suspension / XLE has smoother suspension (I've test driven all of them)
Projector lenses
Exterior/Interior design
Strong auto transmission (Accord auto transmissions are WEAK)
lip kit included in SE version (Accord is optional)
Better sound system (440W vs 180W)
MP3/Bluetooth
Navi with 4 CD changer

Accord > Camry
Six speed manual transmission
Available in coupe
Better looking rims
Much more aftermarket support
Led tails

All I could think of right now. The camry has a trim level for everyone, except they don't offer a coupe (not counting the Solara). For the accord, you can't have sporty and 4doors at the same time. That's one of the main reasons why I chose Camry over Accord.

Hope this helps... this might be a little biased =P

Funny you should ask. I just bought my first Toyota today and currently have 2 Honda Accords in the garage as we speak. One is a 03 sedan I4 and the other is a 00 sedan I4. The 2000 is currently for sale as my Camry is replacing it.

They are both fine automobiles and can't go wrong with either. The thing that swayed me to buying my Camry is the ride mainly. I'm not a sport driver, I like a soft squishy feel and quiet. Neither of our Accords are that way. Our 03 is kinda rough riding IMHO. The Camry also feels a bit bigger. I've had several Camry as rentals and have always loved their simplistic comfortable feel. So I bought one finally.

The only thing I can say for the Honda's is they hold their resale a lot better, mainly because they won't sale to rental fleets.

These two are so close in terms of reliability. So what's better in Camry that Accord? I would say Camry is a little more quiet. But the Accord is more sporty. Both are excellent cars.

Of course, make sure you read through the "reliability" thread, here:

Reliability: Camry vs. Accord

I bailed out of a POS rattletrap 2003 Accord EX-L coupe that was the biggest vehicular disappointment I've ever suffered in 35 years of driving. I explained it in the above thread, if you'd like to read more....
