What is the recommended prep. before installing the molding. Also what is the guideline for positioning the strips. I ordered them today and will pick-up tomorrow.

They should come with instructions if you ordered them from Toyota. If not shoot me a PM and I can scan mine in (the dealer left them in my car, I had them installed at the dealer) and e-mail them to you.

Follow the instructions. It's very easy, you will need a tape measure, some masking tape and a utility blade. Just take your time and you'll be fine. I have the OEM install PDF instruction, just let me know and I'll send them to you. Good luck.
