Last i heard is that it will. You need to grind off some where it contacts other parts inside your console.

My experience with other cars is that you can just cut an inch off the original shifter and weld it back together. Works in the DSM community, see if it does for you.

Interesting...never heard of that. But cutting off the top doesn't achieve too much of a difference in shifting. What i mean is that. the shifter has two ends right? Yes you change leverage..but not by much. THe rear end of the shifter also needs to be changed to allow for quicker shifting right? I don't want to chop and get to the point where it would be hard to shift. BUt hey thanks for your input...i'll look into that one for sure

You can't just chop off an ince and call it a short shifter. It will be shorter but the actual Length Of Throw will be the same, which will make it harder to shift. The trick is to move the pivot point so that the lever under the shift ball is longer than the one on top. If you use your stock one, you would have to cut both sides and move the ball up.

THats what i said, lol...but in a different way...If i did change throw by cutting it off, it would be at a minimum or none.
So my ? is how would be able to move the ball...or should i be looking at other shift kits and just do some minor mods so it could fit...but like i stated earlier, i don't want to spend the money and not have it fit.

Oh thanks by the way thanks eveyone for your input...it is much apreciated

NIce i'll defintely think abou that one...But hey rdizzle, maybe i can buy a shifter alone without the frame...and then just put it in my frame, and adjust for the difference in length...you think that might work?

You could always try and report back to us.
The trick is getting a shifter that keeps the pivot ball in the same place while extending your moment arm length. I would always recomend messing with just the arm before you start messing with any permanent feature like the shifter frame.

On a side note, you could try to modify one of these to fit. Seems to be closer to what you want. http://www.twmperformance.com/shorts...rtshifters.htm
