3rd Generation Short Battery wires!

Well, I fianlly broke down and bought new battery terminals for my gen3 camry... but now the positive wires don't quite reach (before they were crimped onto a connector, then to the battery). So my question is should i extend the wires or can i somehow loosen them up to gain a few inches. I tried to free them from below the battery but i can't get them out of all that wrapping....

See the AV forum and there is a sticky at the top that pertains to extending stock wires (though I don't recall what Gen its for, but it should be similar). I'm running into a similar problem on my Gen 4, and I think I'm going to have to solder some extra wire onto one of the wires because I cant find where it begins!!! LOL!

just look at the harnes and the plastic that holds the terminal wires in place, cut some of the parts, and then give it a steady pull and you should be able to get some more wiring to work with

you should be able to strip the ends and then resolder new wires to extend them.
