2nd Generation Weird Front Suspension Problem

G'day all,

Just had a bit of a werid problem with the cam. It seems like when i accelerate or brake sometimes the front wheel, in particular the drivers side, seems to have front/back movement in it. kinda of a shake. Just wondered if anyone had some ideas? I'm thinking maybe FSB? as its the only thing that looks like it stops that.

The other thing was, last weekend i went over a speed hump at only 20km/h and it made a load bang, know my somewhere up the front drivers side theres a rubbing sound coming from there (again thinking FSB). The first problem i've had with the car since i brought it. :P This one is just annoying.

Thanks all
Matt

check your lower control arm bushes and your front sway bar bushes. usually these will be shagged by now. just get some mackay replacement bushes at Bursons or Repco, get a shop to put em in and away you go.

rubbing noise? look around where the noise is and see if you can see some rub marks.

Cheers

G'day,

So is the lower control arm connected to the suspension? I was thinking about replacing the bushes. There only $35 or so bucks

yes it is. poke your head under the front near the wheel and you'll see what we're talking about
