CRAP! Just thought of something...

So with all that fiberglass on the trunk lid... am I gonna have a problem with the trunk lid not being able to stay up on its own? I havent been able to test it at all yet becuase of all the rain and not being able to add layers...

Do you guys thing I will have a problem with this? Any way to fix it if it does happen?

I think I may have missed why you're glassing your trunk lid...? I'f you're replacing the old one with a glass lid than no, you won't have any problems.

You're definately gonna need some stronger supports. You might look at the gas shocks from a minivan, etc. liftgate

I think you can adjust the trunk lids open/close tension by moving the bars inside the trunk to whichever end works (I forget). Though I don't know how much that will help, if at all, considering your weight.

I was thinking i could do something like that...

But again, I'm guessing I won't need a full 6 layers, becuase I'm not putting a sub in my trunk lid and it won't be getting kicked on a daily basis or anything... unless the screens decide not to work or something...

Sucks =(

I'll probably just prop it till I find a solution, right now that gas shock idea is looking pretty ok.. unless there are any problems with that.
