4th Generation Painting the air vents

I Have a Gen4 with grey interior, I what to paint the plastic air vents black. What is the best way to do this? Do I need to disassemble the the dash and such? How do I do this?

What do you think of my idea?

Do you know any other cheap ways off making a boring grey interior look nice?

Also please look at my cruise control post, that is more urgent.
