Question: Fuel Filter wont come loose

I have tried to remove the fuel filter so i can replace it with a new one on my 3gen V6 last night but it wont come loose. The bolts on the bottom wont turn at all and if i put to much power trying to turn the filter i might end up breaking the metal fuel line. I pulled out the EFI fuse, cranked up the engine and de-pressurized the fuel from it already. But still that approach didnt help. How did any of you guys who have replaced it do it? or am i missing something here? Thanks!

i had the same problem. first you have to take the bracket off the filter. the bolt on the bottom WILL NOT TURN. instead twist the filter. Its a good idea to use something ot hold the fuel line . also use some WD-40 to loosen it firtst.

Do anyone know how hard it is to channge the fuel line? i accidently bent it whille trin to change the fuel filter myself.

I had the same problem with my fuel filter... so I took it to a shop and the guy replaced it for me real cheap since I had the parts. It took him a good while but it was soo much easier for him because he just used a lift and had better access. Good luck though, some people have accomplished this feat, many end up stripping the bolt of damaging something though so be careful.
