Seafoam helped me once again!

so i had a rough idle so i did the induction seafoaming, it cleared the rough idle right up. and showed me that my front bank header was leaking! so i guess i found a new use for seafoam. oh and if you dont know when you do the induction seafoaming it puts out a good bit of white smoke, so if you have an exhust leak you see it leak out.

Sea Foam?
I have to assume that this is a Brand Name and not someting you find at the beach?

So you can find leaks using this?

Is that correct.

Yeah it is brand name. It is a petroleum product. The reason it is called Seafoam that it was invented to be used in marine engines (I guess).

Do a search for it on the forum for more info.

yeah its like an engine cleaner - you unplug a vaccuum hose and suck some out - it cleans all the junk out of your motor. People give rave reviews about it saying it really frees some power.

The only downside is the incredible amount of smoke that comes out of your tailpipe!

P.S. Seafoam rocks! I had some funky "tapping" goin' on in my 5S-FE and so I followed the SeaFoam directions for adding it to the crankcase... It's gone.. I went ahead and cleaned the throttle body just to make sure she was breathing with ease

There are ways around it, remapping the microsoft servers, stopping the service, using a firewall. But what I personally do is close my curtains, wrap my computer in tin foil and yell "BRING IT ON" over and over again. -Drunken_panda

3rd Generation

How do you add SeaFoam to the crankcase and throttle body? When you say crankcase do you mean the PCV valve? Are you pouring it in or getting a extension hose to suck it in?
