Well, sad times for me and my Camry...
Today I just signed the papers for a 2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V
Selling my 1997 Camry tomorrow and picking up the Spec V. Sorry to say, Toyotas are great cars, reliable and comfortable. However, the Sentra SE-R is a whole lot more fun. I dont need to mod it to make it perform better since its very sporty now. 6-speed manual, sport tuned suspension, brembo brakes, etc.
Sorry everyone!
and the spec v....well....I was going to pick one up before I found out that insurance was going to rape me since I was only 17 at the time, so I ended up buying my parent's camry instead...
and the spec v feels fast, that's for sure, but....yeah....I'm sure it's a pretty fun car, but let's just say that it doesn't need those brembos...

I got a '06 SE-R. I own NO toyotas, call me a "wannabe" or wahtever, my Regristration herre is mainly for my friends with a '87 Supra MA70, and my other buddy had a '86 AWII Mk. I MR2, just sold it. I like toyotas, but they don't have that" Performance" I like. My first 1/4 was agaisnt a Corolla CE, saying he had 160hp, B/S It has 120hp.When we just compared engines before we ran, he got nervous. I pulled buslenghts on him of course. I'm not dissing on Toyota owner's, I LIKE Toyota guys becuz they're not Assholes like the Hondacocky Dumbwits. I know more about their cars then they do!
why'd you do that? a camry is a higher end car than a sentra... i could see maybe trading one for an altima cause an altima's pretty much equal to a camry, but a sentra? how fun could that be to drive? it has a little 1.8L engine that makes like 122 hp or something like that... a sentra? wtf? lol
actually its one of the quicker compact cars on the market it makes 175 hp and its slightly modified already. 6 speed manual and the works so he didnt downgrade as you think.
Having a 6 speed manual doesn't necessarily mean it's fast or better. Having 6 gears is uesless if it doesn't have the gear ratio to take advantage of it. I'm sorry but with the money you just spent, there were better options out there such as RSX-S, WRX, SRT-4, etc. Anyway, congrats on the upgrade and have fun with it.
i agree with the better options but maybe he likes it and not the other common ones. The 6 speed has close ratios so its not worthless and sometimes thats true i prefer to have a 5 speed than a 6 speed because there is little less shifting and less chance of "human error" lol.
Not at all. You bought a fine car that suits your needs better than a Camry. Now if you had bought GM or Ford we would have had to call someone to take you to the home where you could get help.
The thing I like most about my toyota is that when it gets to be a fast car (Someday...) no one will expect it, and insurance is cheap (Ten year old 4 cyl family car, hmm. You can bet they're not going to know I'm modding it...). Plus there's the cool factor for me at least in that I'll be one of only a few guys with the balls, or stupidity, to actually do it (Not saying you don't have balls... lol)
