Gen5 doors don't unlock anymore

ok, lemme try 2 explain. i have a gen 5.5. cam. with the engine running, and u shift from park "P" to drive "D", the doors will automatically lock. when you shift from "D" to "P" or neutral, the doors unlock.

well, the doors dont unlock anymore when I shift away from "D". its annoying me becuz i got used to it working before. any ideas as to why it stopped? holler back!

you may have accidently changed the mode. turn the key to on, not touching anything, press and hold down the lock button. The door open indicator will flash anywhere from 1 - 4 times depending on which mode you are on... read in your manual which mode is which. you may have to repeat this several times to get the mode you want.

FYI, mode 2 is all automatic locks off (i use that mode)

Oh shit, yours unlock when put to P? Mine never did that when I bought new and definitely that doesn't do that on my dad's Gen 5 as well. I'll look into that. It's really bothersome since my last car did that both lock and unlock. Time to hit the manual.

^ There are four settings. One is all automatic unlock/lock off. One is lock when shift out of P, no automatic unlock. The other two lock when the car is shifted out of P and unlock either when you shift into P or when you turn the ignition to off.
