I email a dealer a few days ago and he finally got back to me about an LE I4 07. I ask him for his best deal and said he was willing to drop the price to 19795. That still seems high to me so I said the invoice price is 18,348 he responded its actually 18,705 which included taxes and he was willing to fax me the invoice. I didnt give him my fax cause I dont trust dealers period. I know he couldnt include that destination charge cause that is 580. Does the invoice price he quote me sound right to you guys?

Go to KBB.com (Kelly Blue Book) or Edmunds.com. You can get the invoice price there. Just follow the links for new car pricing.

I did the get invoice price from Edmunds.com. In just saying what he quoted me 18,705 with taxes does that sound right to you.

I think you meant to say the invoice price he gave you was $18,705. In your original post you said $19,795 with taxes. It depends upon what is included in your/his invoice; most Toyota invoices I have seen include a substantial advertising fee, which might be the difference here. I don't have any idea what the state, county and local sales taxes are in your area, so I can't comment on the $19,795. It is a bit less than 6% over the $18,705, if you do the math. That's pretty reasonable compared to the taxes where I live. I hope this information is of some help.

He first said he can drop the price down to $19,795. When I responded back and I told him I know the invoice price as quoted on edmunds.com as 18,348 he responded to say his invoice price was $18,705 with taxes.
