hey all...... i'm looking for a k&n air filter for a injen intake system on a gen 5............................ any suggestions or links u guys can help me out with? i've tried many buy no such luck

Are you just looking for the regular cone filter? What specs are you looking for?

i don't know much abt air intakes... just that i want improved air flow and more HP....... what should i be looking for?

Like this one? The pic is from www.ProCarparts.com and it sells for $238 US.

All you need then is a cone filter that will fit in that heat shield. Most likely it has a 3" inlet diameter...do you already have the intake?

i'm purchasing the intake through someone who subscribed through this website... should be receiving it soon. he actually said the same (3" cone filter) but what i really wanted to know was where i could get a deal on a k&n 3" cone filter..... i saw some websites that sell injen 3" cone filters.... how would you rate those?

You want either a round straight or round tapered.
