Gen5 Turbo/Supercharger

Everyone has this view when coming to mod their cars, but im highly thinking about turboing over supercharging my 02 Camry. Im putting money to the side to complete this project. I think it would be funny getting owned by a gen5"family sedan". If this project goes down, Im definitely doing an auto - to manual swap for this. And a total rebuild on the motor as well. I would love to see what kind of numbers I can get though.

I can't even comment on this because quite frankly, I don't even know what engine obeycamgiant has...lol

Not to be harsh, but this thread is pretty useless. I guess all I can say is good luck?

your right tony the tiger, i didn't clerify myself like I should have. First of all, its an 02 SE 3.0L Auto V6. I plan to turbo/ swap tans. While collecting money before the next year rolls around, I plan to have this project completed. In the mean time, Im going to be doing some major research.

From seeing your videos tony, i think it was you who finally inspired me into accomplishing this. Keep them COMING>>>

Make sure you have money to do it right. If you don't, then don't bother turboing it

I plan on doing the same. The turbonetics scion kit would be the best bet, although it's way to expensive. I plan on pieceing out the turbo project on my car.

First: Do you weld or fab in your spare time? This prject WILL take custom work, especially for the v6. I would call reputable fabrication shops around your state and see about costs for making a manifold and downpipe. Charge piping will have to be done by someone as well if you
do not have any friends / connections.

Also for management, several options exhist, but the two I would look at is the Greddy Emanage Ultimate?? or Megasquirt.

On the trans side, you sure it will be more conomical to swap in a manual, or would it be easier to get the auto built. Tony seemed to keep up with that vette pretty well

EDIT: One thing a bud did on his sc400 was hire a draft/design undergrad to design a manifold, and he had it fabed from his designs. It was badass B) to say the least. Just thought Id throw that in for ya.
