99 camry remote start problem. help - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

hi guys, i have a 99 camry that came w/ the remote starting system from the factory. Earlier i found out that when i took it to tire kingdom they somehow disabled the system. it doesn't start up now all it does is flash headlights. tire kingdom has no clue what they did nor what happened and i'm pissed and am hoping that i can put it back together myself. the alarm works tho. i greatly appreciate any and all responses from you guys. thanks.

do you have a kill switch installed that may have been flipped?

is it in valet mode?

no i don't think so. there is a switch down by the left driver's foot that was flicked up then i flicked it down then tried it. nothing happened. i push in the red button that flashes when the car is armed but nothing. today i took it to the dealer which was an experience from hell. the guy told me a bunch of bull and didn't know what i was talking about. i don't know i hope that i can fix it myself but i have no clue where to look.
