Ok, I have plans on putting a stroker block in my 92 camry, but I wanted to keep the automatic transmission. My question is, what other transmission will go with the 5sfe/3sgte engine that is faster than the stock one that comes with the 92 LE?
Also, where can I find a carbon fiber trunk hatch and where to find those projection lenses to make my own projector headlights?
If you are going to be throwing on a stroker block [whered you get one? o.O] and a new tranny.. In all honestly, it is probably closer to the price of a v6 manual swap. This wouldnet you more gains, and make the car a whole new animal.
But to answer your orginal question, the best manual for the cammy, is the E153 5 spd. A few people have swapped it over.

There are ways around it, remapping the microsoft servers, stopping the service, using a firewall. But what I personally do is close my curtains, wrap my computer in tin foil and yell "BRING IT ON" over and over again. -Drunken_panda

I found this one site, I dont know off the top of my head, but they make strokers for cars with the 5sfe/3sgte engines. It costs 2300 but worth it with all the stuff they do to it. I dont want to go to a v6 because it isnt as easy to work on, consumes more gas than a 4 and a few other things I care not for. I like the 4 cyl, plus a stroker would be a hell of a beast with a turbo, so that's what I am going for.
oh, and I realized the headlights have to be custom made, which is why I asked if there is anybody that has made'm themselves so I can get some tips from them.
And yeah, I heard there were only a very few trunks made, but I guess i'll look around for the discussions or even see if I can find a place who could make anymore. But even so, they say there would have to be a certain amount of requests before they would make any, which would be good for those who wants one on this forum.
I do not know of a reputable stroker kit for the camry, or haven't atleast seen one on these boards. Here is a site which has engine building kits for the 5sfe engine.
Look at what your wanting to spend as well. Your looking at a few grand inengine work, and a few more in the tranny swap, and this is before the turbo and management.
Your money, but spending all these g's on a 5sfe isnt computing to me. I do not know personally, but maybe someone could elaborate on the costs of a 3sgte swap. Your going to be spending alot of money on a timebomb of an engine. The only good thing performance wise to me about the 5sfe is when its block has a 3sgte head.

This is the site for the stroker kit. http://www.atsracing.net/strokershortblock.htm
I like to do different things than the majority, so I'll spend my money on a stroker and not go into v6.
just search for people that have done their own projectors, there are tons of them...
alan will be on to brag about owning the only trunk mold in 3...2...
A few companies said that the only way they would product something for a car is if they get high enough demand for them. So, lets say if alot of use contact Carbon Creations about getting things like door panels, trunks and so on, and I mean if alot of use 92-96 request it, they might get into making these things. But it'll only happen if alot of use start emailing them in searching for some of these things.

very true, most of them require about 15 people to get it going. the only problem is finding 14 other people that are willing to spend $500+ on a trunk, much less anything else in the camry community (altho there are a certain few that will go the distance)

Yeah, so should I email Carbon creations and see if they'll do that survey thing on a product to see how many people would buy a product? Worth a shot, you know?
