rear disks?

Is there a way to swap in disk brakes in the rear of my Gen 3.5 I4 LE? I hope to get new rims pretty soon, but I hate the look of drum brakes in the back (Ousts all illusions of performance on anything but an old muscle car), plus the extra stopping power is always good. Can it be done? How hard is it?

Thanks,
Nathan

yea, its called a v6 model. all the camry v6 models have all wheel disc brakes. just go to a junkyard and look for a v6 version of your model.

Do they bolt right up? Are any changes in the master cylinder etc needed?

Thanks,
Nathan

if your going the V6 route, the easiest swap would be to just got from the hub. but other then that, it will just bolt right up with out any modifications. i did the same swap on my 1989 camry. just unbolted the hub from the V6 model, and bolted it right up to mine. didnt make a single change other then that

Sweet. Do you know how much a pair of rear disks would cost at a pick n pull or similar?

Thx for the tip! I'd love to do that on my 88. I overheated my rotors last night after some frisky driving and NASCAR-like braking, LOL...
