4th Generation Wheels: How wide before they rub?

I have a 98 LE w/ 14" enkei wheels... the previous owner just upgraded the 14s, don't ask me why... I'm to the point now where i'm considering anything from 15-17" and I was wondering how wide I can go... stock is 6" wide and most 15-17 are usually 6.5 or 7"

Will 7" be so much as to causing rubing when i turn the wheel... or will the wider wheel even fit?

THANK YOU for any input.

How do I know what offset to use? I'm sorry, this is a very unfamiliar topic to me.

Yup 8in is the point where rubbing starts. I know coz its happening to my car lol

You'll need an offset of about 40-45 if you go 7 or 7.5in

depends on where it rubs?

i think mine is a 6.5 and it rubs a bit. It would rub the strut and wheel well. Not bad but everytime i rotate my tires, i seee it.
I have spacers for the back.

I know the tires are 215/60/16

rims are off a camry 2002 se.
Link to some images of my rims

Overall, it is not bugging me so i am fine with it

Like everyone said, 8" is much the widest you can go. Even with the 8", it would still have to depend on what size of tires you put on and what offset you have in order to determine whether they would rub or not. 17x7 with 40 offset is pretty safe.

Have any plan on what to do with the enkei's 14" rims? selling them?

More than likely... it will probably be a month or more before i put them up, but pm if interested.

Is this somthing that any tire shop can do? Or do I need to find a specialty wheel shop? Right now I'm thinking of getting some 16x7 or 16x6.5 wheels w/ some 225/50/R16 tires.

Can you post a few pictures on the style and conditions and those enkei's 14" and how much are you asking for?

As for the second question, you need the tire to do what? elaborate a little
