Sound coming from the front wheel. What could be the cause?

Hi,

This started recently and I have been using the same tires/rims since Dec 2004.
For a picture of rim (scroll down to this page) http://www.golfer-review.com/m_toyot...y_old_pics.htm

I am hearing some sound coming from the front wheel. It is not any rubbing, scratching or humping sound.

It sould like somebody spinning a rock that is tied to a string.
So it it like an 1/2 interval before the next interval...

What could be the cause?

Tire out balanced?

Have you tried rotating the tires to see if the problem follows the tire?

It also could be a nail, screw, etc. stuck in the tire. I have had this before. I would check tires first before thinking about wheel bearings.

Thanks guys.

This is what I have done:

-Rotated tires prior to that.
-Stone - Not that cos i checked prior to posting. Good advise though
-Screw, etc - Not that cos i checked prior to posting. And just checked again.
-Bearing shot - Maybe.. how do i check?

I took it to toyota dealership and he told me that my tires must be changed cos they are busted or in not working correctly. He says I either live with it or get a new set for the front. It does not make sense to me cos the threads wear looks even. He did not even look at the tire and he gave the advise..
