So I finally got around to check out 2 dealers today.
Dealer #1
LE I4
invoice 19,600
msrp 20,400
SE
I4
invoice 21,366
msrp 22,566
The guy said it will take 6 weeks for an LE and 8 weeks for an SE. There were no SE in the show room.
Dealer #2
LE
msrp 21,279
SE
no inventory in stock. It will take 2 months if I place an order.
Dealer #2 was full of hot air. I wasnt feeling his vibe. All my friends and family are saying to get an LE cause it's cheaper etc. For some reason I like the SE cause it has leather seats..hehe. I looked up the LE insurance and it's reasonable, if I get the SE does insurance cost more?

Please give some feedback.
I am almost certain the LE will be cheaper with insurance. Most insurance companies (at least here in Colorado) will raise your insurance if the car has the word 'Sport' in it (i.e. SE = Sport Edition). I am 21 and have to be under my parents insurance or else I wouldn't be able to afford it. We are with State Farm and I am fully covered 100,000/300,000/100,000 with uninsured motorist and it costs me $1,600 a year. I just switched to State Farm because my previous carrier (Amica) quoted me at $3,800 a year .
Those timeframes from the dealer do not sound unreasonable at all. I bought the first SE in Colorado after I looked at an XLE in early April, the SE didn't arrive until mid-May. The '07 Camry's are flying off dealer lots and it is definitely pacing to be the best selling car in America again... especially with last month (May) being the best selling month for Toyota in it's history.
With the MSRP listed above, some dealers would not budgemuch in the price cause they know the new camry are selling fast. The second dealer said, im not giving away camry here so I cant do much in the price.
You have a better chance on getting a good deal on an LE then a SE. LE's are the most numerous on the lots.
I got an LE...the price was right. 22,400.00 msrp...I got it for 20K even. I like the fact I can lower the rear seats. Helpful with a family. I will add a few SE things like a Lip spoiler and a Fog kit.

Did anyone buy wheel locks for there Camry? I know its a silly question but i'm just curious. So this dealer I went to day didnt know what the rear bumper applique was. He has to look it up at toyota.com.He said you dont need that, it goes above the bumper not at the bottom as I expected. If you ever buy those bumper guard and place it at the back of your bumper this is were I expected it to be.
So I visited another dealer today to get quotes. I asked if they could install the aluminum finish on the 4 door handles. They said it would cost $599. I responded I just need the door handles done and they said it comes in a kit and there is nothing they could do. I was mad and was even more pissed cause the girl handling this had a little attitude with me.
Have you ask the dealer whether there is replacement parts for the SE owners when, say, they lost their right door in a accident or something. Have you figured out how to rip the existing handle/panel skin apart?
For insurance, why don't you just call your insurance agent and ask about the premium for LE and SE. No need to guess.

I spoke to my agent yesterday and she said there is not much of a difference in rate. She said she needed the VIN number of the SE to give me exact numbers.
As for removing those parts, im a novice when it comes to cars. Once I find the kit I will take it a body shop. So if anyone found the kit, please share cause sharing is caring.
