Not on a camry.

I did on my 89 Cavalier, where the emmissions system had only one o2 sensor before the cat, used for fuel trim.

You have an OBD2 vehicle so your rear O2 sensor checks the operation/function of the cat. To take that out and not cause CEL, you will need to get a O2 sensor emulator, which is usually not legal for highway/road use.

Well I can tell you that half of the older cars in Maine have the CEL on, and I know that my last four cars have and I have NEVER failed an inspection cause of it.

As for my ride, I am looking to do simple if that is possible. I am NOT myself crafty on metal, but know I can find somone who is.

Thanks for the response though.

Someone from another board suggested the old re-bar / broom handle method.

Any thoughts?
