I busted my front stabilizer bar

A couple of days ago, I was out working and heard a pop in my front pass wheel well. I finally had some time today to take a look at what was wrong. As soon as I pulled the wheel off, I saw the stabilizer bar had snapped clean apart. 3/4 of the bar was still mounted under the bushings and was connected to the drivers side wheel. The other part, still connected to the link on the pass wheel, had managed to lodge itself in the control arm. It still drives, even straight, but I have to be careful around bumps, etc.

Anyone had the opportunity to do this on their own? Is it easy? I was checking out my haynes and it looks possible, but when it was talking about draining and disassembling the steering control, I started reconsidering. I can only find the linkage system that connects the bar to the wheels, but not the actual stabilizer bar. Any ideas?

When I get my front bar swap done, I will know for sure... but I do not think that the P/S system needs to be drained, jut the rack be unbolted.

yes, it should be....and if it's broken apart, then it'd be even easier to remove....it's the installation that's a bitch on the front from what I can see

just worry about seized bolts
