Gen5 2AZ-FE engine swap compatability

Question for anyone wit da knowledge. I was wondering what other Toyota engines would be compatibile with my '02 Camry (JDM)? Mainly the mounts and tranny fitment. Is there anything that is close to a direct fit?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR THE INFO!

Jay

Hey nice car. I am pretty sure their is nothing that can exchange for the 2az-fe. Even though scion tc has the same engine, you can still add performance just some custom work.
Why would u want to swap out the 2az anyway? The only thing that I can remember no swaps. Some of the similar engines to the az famil are 1AZ-FSE, and 2AZ-FXE.

The 1az-FSE is from the rav 4. And the 2AZ-FXE is from the almighty 2007 camry hybrid. Im sure that the extra power comes from the hybrid system anyway

Why not put a 3.3L 3MZFE?

I probably am going to buy another 2AZ and keep it in the garage and "Tinker" with it and swap them when the new one is done. Does the MZFE motor fit and with what types of modifications?

Yes the MZFE will need custom mounts and stuff it is a v6 3.3L vs 2.4L (4cyl). The 2.4L has alot of aftermarket support thanks to the scion tc if you are looking for performance.
