I know that if you buy an 80W or 100W bulb for your oem harness it will burn them out eventually. Has anyone ever tried to upgrade the harness for like $50 a pair of something like that, so it can take 80W/100W for low beams.

I've heard of people replacing their 9006 harnesses with 9005 harnesses.

Don't bother with any of those. Those look like just the connectors. What you want is a full headlamp harness with relays, which can be bought from suvlights.com (sales@suvlights.com) I think it's about ~$40.
