Camry Tuneup

I own a 92 toyota camry v6 se and dont have the money at the moment to add any expensive mods but i dont know all that much about cars but somewhat but could anyone give me any advice on tuning up my car anything i can do to my car to make it faster without buying anything. I could consider buying small parts but nothing over about $100.

ive made a custom cold air unit for my car, i believe the net cost was about $30-40usd. the gains were not extreme, but definitely noticeable through lower rpms. if you are interested, ctmotorsport is producing a thermaformed CAI unit with the help of another member here, racerhex. it will be made using the design i came up with, and should yield significant gains over your stock intake system.

there are also a few alternatives, but naturally anything for under $100 isnt going to increase performance drastically

Make sure your car is in tune. Sparks plugs, distibutor cap, distributor rotor, wires, etc...are need to be in good working order for optimal performance on a stock setup. Start with this first, then mod.

That's an oxymoron. :o (e.g. I want to buy a Porche but I'm broke.)

For $100 there's nothing you can do to make it faster but you can certainly spend it on something that makes your brain think it's faster (read: intake). You can make your car run a little better by doing oil change or flush tranny fluid with new ones.
