Rear Window Problem

Hi,

Right rear window (my car is Toyota Camry 94 model) is falling down to the bottom.
This is because there is a small gap between the surrounding black beadings and the window.

Could somebody help me how to fix this problem?

Thanks,

-Ravi

Ravi, It sounds like your window has come off of the window regulator. The black rubber, if you mean the weather stripping, doesn't hold the window up or down. If you want to do this yourself you will need to remove the inside door panel. Then you will see the problem.

On my 1990 there are two screws (behind plastic covers) holding on the arm rest handle and a screw holding in the door latch handle. You will also need to remove the rod connected to the rear of the door latch handle (mine has a plastic clip. Be gentle). There are plastic clips holding the rest of the panel to the perimeter of the door. I use a putty knife to pry the panel from the door. I usually break one of these but maybe you will be more careful. Then lift the panel up and remove the wire connection for the window then you can remove the panel. Carefully peel the plastic vapor barrier off and you will see the window mechanism. They are pretty straight forward. You should be able to see the problem. Junk yards and eBay are good sources of used parts.
