In an earlier thread, I told you guys that my car was leaking oil, well, SPRAYING is more like it... Anyways, I thought it was the oil pressure switch, but when I bought one, it didn't look like the thing on the car that's leaking... This is the thing that's leaking... I'm pointing at it with a stick...

Anyway... This thing is right directly underneath the distributor... It looks like it's attatched to the block, but I can't say for sure...

Your photo's are a little difficult to make out. To much blue and they are washed out. Can you post better photo's. One close, the other at more of a distance to give some referance as to the location.

What year and engine is this car?

Yeah, those photos are pretty bad. What part of the engine is this. (location) It looks somewhat like the oil control valve on the VVTI.

in the other forum she said it was a 96, 4 cyl. the pictures look like the distributor area(the distributor cap and wires are visible in both). but i agree that more pics are needed

I dunno, the pics are kinda nasty, but it almost looks like the oil temp (or oil pressure) sensor. I had the same thing happen in my 5S a few years ago.
